穴义

水，水液；沟，沟渠。
穴在人中沟中；人中沟形似水沟。

Meaning

Shui, water; gou, groove.
The point is in the philtrum which lacks like a water groove.

定位

在人中沟的上1/3与中1/3交界处

Location

at the junction of the superior and middle third of the philtrum.

主治

①急救休克之要穴，临时无针，可以指代针，切按之，有升血压及兴奋呼吸之作用
②精神病，癔病发作
③面瘫

Indication

1. main point to relieve shock in first aid. If there is not needle at hand, the nail of a finger can be used to press the point, which may increase blood pressure and excite respiration.
2. schizorhrenia, hysteria
3. facial paralysis

针法

①针尖向上刺0.3分
②本穴不灸

Method

1. puncture 0.3 fen upwards obliquely
2. Moxibustion cannot be used in this point

又称“人中”，急救要穴
